OMG after all our chats i finally bought new studs. I spent the day in new York city ( on the 19 and 21 floors meaning upstairs with diamond dealers). After speaking to them about spending $8,000 plus my 2.05 studs (they were all negative about upgrading just for cut)
I actually ended up going home and buying them at a RETAIL STORE where i had seen these gorgous 2.41 graded stones. I can't remember i they are EGL or IGL
Don't be upset or disappointed with my choice I also spoke to WF and JA and it seemed I was doomed to get studs 2.10 or less for I-J colorIl qualty for ideal cut stones.
Stones I bought
2.41 total carat weight hearts on fire (one stone is inscribed) F color SI1......Realizing that EGL/IGL are usually two grades below GIA I am still so excited. The stones are cut 3x excellent for one and 2x excellent and very good on the other. When I put them next to my current studs there is NO comparison. I used all the stats you all gave me table 58 on one 56 (can't recall all stats )
Photos will follow I still owe $630...(and they need to ship them out of state to save the taxes) .They retailed at $14,000.....I gave them $8,000 in cash and my studs.
Thanks for all your help. and i will post pictures and the rest of the stats. I saw the certifiations and viewed the stones under a 10x 30x and microscope and they are truly eye clean did not see flaws until under microscope.
thanks again
