Some time ago i decided to reset my 1.22ct M diamond from its halo setting to a "Julia" inspired new solitaire setting, with...a personal touch! There were many things about my old setting that i wasn't happy with and i took the decision to go to my jeweler and ask him to create a new ring in yellow gold, with tiny diamond accents and a little ruby on one side (my DH's birthstone) and a little emerald on the other side (our baby's birthstone!). I always loved the Julia setting and i realized that it is exactly what i want with just small alterations. I gave him many inspiration pics and i had long discussions with him, in order to clarify everything and agree on all the details (i had to make sure that this time i will be completely happy!).
So today, right at the moment that i had just left from work, i received a phonecall from him...He said "i'm ready" !!! Wow, that was very fast i thought...! He finished earlier than he had predicted!
When i saw the setting, i thought "This.is.it"...It's so beautiful, exactly what i had imagined! I'm very very happy!
Bonus: I got to watch the procedure of putting the diamond on the new setting! I took a not so clear video with my phone camera, so here's the link to it:

I tried to take pictures...what a nightmare this is with the new camera...The photos will either come out not clear or they will make my diamond look...brown
How unfair for my beautiful M stone!
I'll try to take pictures when the sun comes out and preferably in the morning and hope to get better results! Maybe i should have waited until i had good pictures but i just couldn't help sharing my happiness with you guys!
So here come the pics...First up a pic of my M diamond with another smaller stone that i have unset, sitting nicely next to each other and then some bad pics that don't do my ring justice, hehehe!
