I just wanted to give a HUGE shout out to this wonderful website/forum and to Wink Jones at High Performance Diamonds! I have learned so much about buying quality diamonds from the many things I read on this site. I started out with great anxiety over the idea of purchasing a diamond over the internet (something I NEVER thought I'd do). I visited many websites, educated myself - as best I could, looked at scores of diamonds on line, spoke to diamond buyers, visited my local B&M store, adjusted my expectations, read many posts and finally talked to Wink at HPD. He had the diamond I was looking for and then some! I was able to stay within my budget without having to trade in my original stone (something I thought I'd have to do). Wink not only set my new diamond but is also making my original diamond into a pendant. 
I was most impressed with Wink's customer service, his friendliness, patience, and expertise. Based on the many recommendations I had read here and from another source, I felt I could trust Wink with my upgrade. All my expectations were met! I especially like that, as part of my purchase, he included a free Gem Kit. This included a 10X jeweler’s loupe, hand-held Ideal-Scope®, and a Hearts & Arrows viewer. The Crafted by Infinity diamond was absolutely gorgeous in person! Wink had skyped with me so that I could see the diamond with my own eyes on line and get a sense of its overall appearance and sparkle. I mailed Wink my original e-ring and he was able to change out the four pronged head to accommodate the larger diamond (I upgraded from a 1 ct to a 1.63 ct round brilliant cut solitaire). I love the cut of this diamond!! It truly is magnificent and I love how the big flashes of rainbow colors dance and sparkle -- even in a dark movie theater! 
I would highly recommend that if you are new to the diamond buying process and want to talk to a friendly, honest, and very knowledgeable man call Wink at High Performance Diamonds. I've included a photo that Wink sent to me after he finished mounting the new CBI diamond.
