I'm so flipping excited! I still owe you guys wedding band pics, and I promise that they are forthcoming (I love it - we're just making size adjustments at this point). But, we have one more project in the works before the wedding, and I just had to share!
This gorgeous 1.11 E-VVS2 pear is on its way and should arrive tomorrow!

The stone faces up at 8.72mm x 5.91mm, and additional specs include: 62.6% depth, 61% table, 1.48 l/w ratio, excellent polish, and very good symmetry.
Of the three pears that I had selected for inspection & ASETS, this was the favorite. It's white, eye clean, and has a minimal bow-tie. In comparing it to my other selections in hand, the gemologist found it has "the best overall brilliance and areas of white light return, particularly from the center of the diamond. The diamond also has the best dispersion (fire) throughout and great scintillation. The faceting and the overall outline of the diamond is very attractive, as well. On a final note, this diamond has excellent spread, meaning it faces up the largest out of the three diamonds, closer to a 1.15ct."
Below you can find a still pic and the ASET. All of the information available here was a tremendous help in narrowing down my choices, and James Allen was so amazingly easy to work with. I really commend them for taking the time to discuss my selections with me, answer all of my questions, and sending the stone out so quickly. They are a fantastic group, and I wouldn't hesitate to work with them again.
I'm taking the pear in on Thursday to have it evaluated locally and to discuss pendant settings, so let's hope its a keeper
