I''ve been reading and reading and am still a bit confused!! I''ve narrowed down to 2 stones with 2 different on-line sellers and would like your opinions on them

1.3 vs2 I Ideal cut
table 55
depth 61.4
HCA .5
AGS
niceice: http://www.niceice.com/certcopies/ags0004785908/index.htm

1.29 si1 I H&A
table 55
depth 61.1
HCA 1.4
gog: http://www.goodoldgold.com/1_29ct_i_si1_h&a.htm

I''m sure they are both great diamonds, but does one have an advantage over the other? Thank you for your opinion.

GOG diamond hands down.
Its $500 cheaper should be eyeclean (ask) and you cant get much better b-scope scores than that.
The sarin shows its just as well cut with slightly thinner girdle the niceice diamond the girdle is on the thick side of the great range and the gog is on the thin side of the great range.
Thats why the gog diamond is wider yet weighs less.
Looking over the sarin/ogi data I have to get that picky to seperate them by cut either girdle is fine but a thinner girdle puts more diamond in other places where it can contribute to the performace instead of just being there.
The vs-2 clarity of the niceice diamond just isnt worth $500 over the screaming gog stone.

If we may... In terms of visual performance the reality is that our stone and Jonathan's will likely look pretty much the same side-by-side because we're equally anal when it comes to our stone selection. The primary difference between the two stones is the clarity and knowing Jonathan his SI-1 is going to be as "eye clean" as our VS-2 the only difference will be the visibility of the inclusions when the diamond is viewed through a diamond grading loupe. The price difference between the stones is about $500.00 if you can handle the increased visibility of the inclusions within the SI-1 then save the $500.00 and buy Jonathan's stone, buy ours if you prefer things a bit cleaner... Both stones look pretty good to us, we don't see how you can go wrong.

I want to add that Robin & Todd are a class act.
I cant disagree with what they said.
But in this case eyeclean is eyeclean and $500 is $500 that is the biggest difference between the diamonds the vs-2 and the si-1 ratings as they pointed out.

Jonathon at GOG is every bit as much a class act so there are no worries there.

You cant go wrong with either diamond or either dealer :}

In this case, wont it be more a matter of personal threshold of clarity and colour tolerance? Or else a matter of that 'extra' $500 going towards the setting? Both stones will be the best-performing diamonds that you'll have ever seen thus far, good luck!

Thank you all very much for your input. And Niceice thank you VERY much for your input. Your integrety is very refreshing after spending time in local B&Ms and feeling like I'm getting the run around. Tomatoe you are right, either one will definitely be the best diamond I'll ever see. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something becasue of my very limited knowledge (and I use that word VERY loosely lol) about all this.

Thanks!
