Sneak peak - Sarah bears aquamarine in Daniel M setting ...

Well, I don't have this yet but I have received early photos from Caren tonight so thought I'd share ... The design was created by Dan & Caren based on a few things I liked and this is a combination of all of them. I bought this stone for myself as it was my 40th birthday this year, and I was born in March.

Whilst I love cushion cuts, ,most of my rings have square stones so I wanted to round this one out.

It will be very interesting to see the finished product. I am concerned about it sitting very high, but it is a deep stone so I could hardly avoid that, unless I put it in a pendant instead.

I meant to say thank you to everyone for your various suggestions along the way with this project. I invested a bit more than I had initially planned to with the halo. I'll be intrigued to see what it's like IRL as its only very fine and they are small stones, but hopefully I'll be very happy.

It looks beautiful!! I'm getting a quote from Jeff Davies for a somewhat similar ring (but all rose gold, for a malaya garnet), maybe I should get a quote from DM as well! I like the rose gold prongs. Can't wait to hear your thoughts when you get it, and see many more pics!

Very pretty. It does sit high but it's really really deep -- and still looks all in proportion. Looking forward to hand shots!

Holllllllllly cow. That is awesome. My birthstone is aqua too but I grew up not liking it because I thought the commercial cloudy barely blue was what it was supposed to look like.

This is sooo beautiful. I love the rose gold prongs with it.

Emprocter, pink jewel, distracts, thank you for your comments. It is a bit of an unusual halo. I hope that it flows well in person, but I think it should. I know it won't be everyone's cup of tea, but I have a plain cushion halo. On a small diamond so I wanted this to be different.

Agneau, this is my first aqua - I've never been attracted to the, in stores, and this I have liked have been often large oval cuts and whilst lovelY, too blingy for me as they usually have a sparkly halo around them. I've gone for something more subdued, but still interesting.

Katiharath - I was going to go for a rosé gold head, but I wasn't sure about the toning so My compromise is the rosé gold prongs, just to add a bit of interest (and because I adore rosé gold)

NKOTB - I have been extremely happy with Dan and Caren, very patient and responsive, Caren has helped me with lots of design suggestions and eventually I sent them a couple of ideas and they created a CAD for me from those.

I can't believe I didn't post to this thread already! I love it and would echo what others have said - I love the halo for its originality and throwback to an antique design. Think the metal colors will be beautiful. Cannot wait for you to receive it and post additional photos.

Catmom, lamb skin - thank you, I love how clear the aqua is. Having not yet seen it in person, I am really keen to get my first look as it was hard to know how much to close the design in and what effect it might have on the colour. !

Woof mama, smitcompton, maevemarie, panda bee, vidalia, lula, minous- thank you, I am really pleased with the design. I had the option of adding milgrain, but didn't want it to seem cluttered

SB621 - I have seen you have some new beauties too. I really look forward to receiving this so I can thoroughly investigate!
