I’ve seen this very sweet video before. What a little sweetie.
I’m not sure of your title though? Are you referring she’s smarter than other little ones?
If a person lacks emotional intelligence they lack many facets that make up a well rounded human. I'm so discouraged by humanity these days. The sight of my kids snuggling with our cat or a little girl crying along with a dinosaur is balm for my news fatigued soul.Loved this @Elliot86
@Elliot86 A few months ago my 3 year old niece went with me when I took my fur baby to the vet. My dog became noticeable anxious when we pulled in the parking lot. I told my niece she was a little scared. My niece immediately sounded sad and told the dog not be scared, your mommy is here. She told her we would give her lots of kisses. As we waited in the examining room. She sat next to me petting her telling her it was going to be ok. She asked me if her doctor was nice. All I could think was Yay, she has a compassion and empathy chip.
It scares me what this world will be like for her growing up.
Oh Deb, that brought up memories! My kids watched that movie everyday for what seemed like forever. I was the one who found it upsetting! I hated it! They loved it though. I thought it was so sad.
I will add something you might find interesting and up your alley. My oldest daughter was the one who loved that movie. She is now 30 and is a social worker. She works as a resource worker at a very good foster agency. Maybe the empathy was ingrained from an early age. Empathy, but also the strength to see through all the real life sadness she sees, and the ability to work for the welfare of these children. Heaven knows it's not the pay, lack of benefits or overtime unpaid hours she puts in.![]()
Oh thanks Deb. I take very little credit. I forgot to even mention that she is actually extremely smart. She also loves science. Her college professors wanted her to get her PhD and write textbooks. She just doesn't have the time or money for further degrees.
