Small(ish) e-ring by PS standards but HONKER in real life?

Thank you! Like my 7-stone band the 3-stone (0.5ct/1.81ct/0.5ct) spans the top of ring finger pretty well.

We have the same ring size, so this is very helpful! I don't know if I will do a 3 stone or 5 stone, but it helps so much to see proportions I like on people with my ring size!

Who is the third???

HPD

Wink and Bryan Vaughn are now partners and Bryan runs Wolf Diamonds. So you can see CBIs in Houston. And all of HPDs custom work is done at Wolf (and actually has been for several years.)

Maybe I need to move to Houston. I live in So Cal, and amongst the real OC housewives, but I guess I just hang out with the ultra modest set. I need a friend with a 10 ct emerald cut!

10 ct is definitely an outlier and most of my friends have 2ct or less. But seeing very large diamonds isn’t an anomaly either in Houston.

Yeah, I see (used to see) moms in leggings/sweats, walking their dogs, with 5-7 year old in tow, rocking a 4-5 carat stone, and just completely whatever. I wonder if we will ever have those days again...

Good info. Thanks. Miss living there for so many reasons. But life goes on....

My lawyer friends who got engaged in their 30’s tended to get 1.5-2cts. diamonds. A small few got 3 cts., and everyone was impressed. Then here on PS a 3-carat diamond is like what everyone is buying next week. But it’s awesome seeing so much pretty jewelry and meeting nice people who like to geek out about it.

Hi @RunningwithScissors ,

I checked out the Wolf Diamonds Site and there isn’t any inventory posted.
Their site seems just like a banner and then there is an option to schedule an appointment.

Are they just set up for one in one shopping appointments?

Not that I’m in the market, just was curious and wanted to see what they had compared to other vendors.

Hi Idealw2boys!

Wink told me that HPD and Wolf are working hard to create a new website that will be revealed very soon. I'm hoping they will list the new CBIs on the website, but I don't know because they are keeping the site a secret until it is finished.

My understanding is that the CBI diamonds are all kept somewhere else (in Europe or NYC or somewhere) and that HPD and Wolf (who are now partners) can bring them in for client viewing.

I honestly don't know all the details. The best would be to call or message Wolf or Wink and ask them. I'm sure hoping there will be new, beautiful diamonds in the CBI pipeline soon!

Awesome! More bling to choose from! Always great to have options.

My e-ring is pretty titchy by PS standards, it's a 2.5ct graduated 5 stone, all ideal cuts. But super well cut stones are pretty unheard of here, and most e-rings I see are solitaires...so the fire my diamonds throw off, combined with the finger coverage, gets a LOT of attention!

My 1.5 ct solitaire is probably the largest in my immediate social circle but I think a few people spent about the same amount or more for smaller stones from brick and mortar retailers (their prices are about a 40% markup over ID jewelry but lower quality). My husband is in a men's charity group and we are amongst the 5 youngest members (out of >100). At those events my ring is almost always the smallest unless someone hasn't upgraded their original.
