First post on this board, but a big follower. Great info!

The GF saved the attached pic on my computer. Can anyone tell me cut/size? Is this cushion? What is the price range?

Thanks!

The top left corner and bottom right corner are cushion cuts, the top right I can't tell if its an old style cushion or a modern cushion, or even possibly a round stone and the bottom left hand corner looks more like a radiant cut, but it could be a rectangular shaped cushion with a crushed ice type effect. They all look to be over 2+ carats. Will leave it to the experts to help find you something, give them your price range and they will help find you nice cushions.

all of them are cushions.

Are you 100% sure, I don't think you can actually tell in these pictures, I have seen radiants that look like the stone on the bottom left and Old cuts that look like the stone in the top right!!!!

Anyway it seems she DOES want a cushion looking at the shape and style of stones in these pictures.

Try looking at some cushion types modern and older styles ie, August Vintage lines which are new diamonds cushions cut in an older style on the Good Old Gold Website - there are also lots of videos showing the difference. Engagement Rings Direct, James Allen, Whiteflash, Leon Mege and Victor Canera are also worth a look. For a genuine old cushion and sometimes some modern ones too try Jewels by Erica Grace.

You need to figure out the type of cushion she would prefer, modern cut, old cut, crushed ice look, no crushed ice look and general shape of the cushion you think she would like, squarer shape versus longer more rectangular shape.

I am sure someone else will step in and make recommendations once you figure out the type and style of cushion you prefer, the size you are after and give a budget to work with.

yeah the top right i feel like COULD be a round or oval sense the picture is at an angle, the bottom left looks like a radiant. However, based off these pictures i would say buy her a cushion would be the safest bet.

as for the size, buy as big as you can, dont worry about what size these are if you cant afford it. Most ladies inspiration pic is going to be of a large diamond, doesnt mean she expects to get one. Im sure she probably knows your budget, or at least about your budget, so just get her the best thing you can afford... What is your budget?

She wants a squarish modern cushion in a Tiffany Novo style setting. Size of the stone will depend on what you can afford. Figure the setting will be around $2500 so how much can you spend on the stone?

Hey newguy98! The top right hand photo is a 2.32 ct. round cut, and I think the setting is the Michael B. "Paris" -- it belongs to another PS'er, frankiextah. Here is a link with more photos:

Top right looks like a round and is my face of the bunch. The rest are cushions in Tiffany Novo settings. I believe the top left is a novo but I will have to look again (hard to surf on my phone).

Top left and bottom right are Tiffany Novo. That is a modern cushion on a pave band. Enerchi posted some great versions of that and it is pretty straight forward. Bottom left would be a similar style but with a different shape center stone (slightly rectangular radiant). Because she included the picture of the radiant, I would focus on looking for either modern or 8-main cushions to give the more contemporary look.

the top left picture is definitely a Tiffany Novo picture found on Pinterest

the bottom right picture might or might not be a Tiffany Novo, but it is definitely an 8 main cushion brilliant w/ a pave band (like the Tiffany Novo)
