hi all.

I''ve looked at some local stores in here Phoenix and haven''t been happy with anything.
I''ve done a lot of reading here and I''m still learning.
I''ve picked out a diamond and would like some assistance in learning about it.

Using the hca the numbers came up well for this stone. I looked at the gia report and see inclusions in the diagrams but I don''t know how severe these really are.

what do you think?

Hi AZ,

The diamond looks great, but you definitely need to ask if it's eyeclean. This one looks debatable. They will be very honest about it, but make sure you are both on the same page about "eyeclean".

Ditto! Lovely stone! You just have to call and ask about how eyeclean any SI clarity stone is.

I agree. Jonathan only sells the best, and he will be honest about the inclusions. I inquired about an SI2 with him once, and he said that he likes to have his other staff members look at them too just to get their opinions. You could have him do that with that diamond. Great price, though, on that stone. And the cut looks absolutely awesome!

Wow, that's a really nice looking stone. I'd go for it if you're happy with the clarity.

I recently bought an SI1 at GOG and didn't even ask about eye-clean because it looked Ok in the pics and I know there's no way I'll be able to pick out inclusions without magnification. My wife's original e-ring was something like an I2 or I3 and I couldn't see anything.

I just purchased a diamond from Good Old Gold and I love it. IMHO GOG is the best value for your money. It helps that they have so much information available to you on each diamond. If you have any questions, they have the diamond right there, in hand, to answer them. You can talk with anyone there over the phone and they''re very helpful. Plus they will send you a loupe along with your diamond purchase as well as an appraisal packet and certificates.

I compared an SI diamond to a VS diamond, face up, unaided, I couldn''t spot any inclusions on my own. Some ladies have better vision than others. Of course, through a loupe it was a different story.

Anyway, you have 30 days to mull it over and if you''re not 100% happy, they''ll take a return.

I still doubt that you will be dissapointed. The diamond looks beautiful and it''s light performance is awesome!

I just bought a Solasfera from Good Old Gold last week. You won''t go wrong with them. As stated previously, they are extremely honest with their customers and will go way beyond helpful to you if you ask. I wish I would have found them a few months sooner. I would have saved so much time and hassles of checking local stores. They were WAY, WAY, WAAAAAY nice to me with the diamond listed below that they "dug up."
