skin treatment-sun spots

I am a 39 year old who for many years was a sun bunny. I have olive skin and haven''t burned much in my life. Despite becoming more strict about sunscreen on my face, last year 2 sunspots arrived on my face. They are driving me crazy. I do not have the money for laser treatments right now. I am wondering if anyone has recommendations on other treatments: maybe a chemical peel, microderm, creams?
Please be specific because I looked up on spa nearby and they had like 20 different peels!

Retin A from the dermatologist will take away uneven skin tone from the sun. It takes a few months but it works. And you have to wear sunscreen when you go out.

See a dermatologist and not a spa for a treatment. April Baby is right that a perscription retinoid will help.
