I'm looking for a skilled jeweler in Florida, preferably in the Ft. Lauderdale area, to set my .37 rbc diamond in an 18k antique reproduction ring mounting I have and also size down said mounting from a 6 to a 4. I'm looking for someone trustworthy & detail-oriented. Thank you!
There is a location in Melbourne, FL which I'd be willing to drive to. Based on photos they've posted on their facebook profile, the quality of their work looks phenomenal! I hope they would be willing to set my diamond even though I didn't purchase it or the ring setting from them. Do you happen to know their policy on this?
Thanks again for your input - It's greatly appreciated!
A long time ago they were on PS and I think Jan posts every once in a while. They had a steller reputation for work. I'm sorry but I have no idea their policies.
Hi, AprilBaby. I emailed them and Jan replied promptly. She said it would be no problem to set my diamond & size down the ring. Thank you very much for the recommendation. The new setting is quite pretty, so I would like to share a few pics on here when the reset is complete.
Thank you, Chrono, but a message came up that said I'm not allowed to view that forum??? Maybe because I'm a newbie. I think I will be going with Diamond Brokers of Florida for the reset & sizing, but I am open to your recommendation.
Hi, Chrono. Sorry to bug you again, but if you do have a jeweler you'd recommend in the Ft. Lauderdale/South Florida area, I'm still all ears. It would be nice to know of a local place that's reputable, so I wouldn't have to travel nearly 150 miles for routine repairs & big jewelry purchases. One jeweler that caught my eye as a possible option is JR Jewelers, in part because they carry some ArtCarved bridal settings I'm interested in. Are you familiar with their work? Would you mind posting your reply here in RockyTalk? Thank you for your input!
