Hey guys!
I''m thinking about buying a ring that cant be sized and its a 5 or 5.5 (fits like a 5) and was wondering if you think a sizer would work to make it fit a size 4 finger or not? I''m thinking a horseshoe sizer would be best, this would be a second wedding band/ring in place of my WB and my e-ring. What do you think?

Anyone have any ideas if it would work or if it would look funny at all?

Put wide but small pads inside to adjust it to fit. No need for a winged thing to handle a single size adjustment. The pads can be filed down later on to adjust the ring a bit larger. A wing is far less comfortable. Only a very small amount of padding will make a 1 size difference. It won''t look like anything has changed from the outside.

Thank you Dave! I was hoping something like that would be said! It would be MUCH more expensive to have it custom made than putting in sizing pads!

Thanks so much!

I had a jeweler once put a metal ring inside to make it smaller. It was very comfortable, it was just a thin ring of metal affixed inside the band.

I''m curious... waht''s a pad and where do you get it?

Yeah, I'm with Dave, pads should do the trick for one size difference.

Rosebud, "pads" are raised pads of gold placed inside the shank at the five and seven o'clock position. They hold against the fleshy part of the finger with no discomfort.
