Hi,

I notice sometimes that based on diamond dimensions people will say how well a diamond "faces up". So, a 1.5ct might only face up like a 1.25ct. How can I determine how my diamond "appears" in size as opposed to actual carat weight. Is there a formula that is used? I know the cut determines this but wanted to know if there is a formula that can be used as I have all the dimensions.

It gives the diameter measurements of various carat weights and shapes, that way you can check that a diamond faces up the size it should for it''s weight, for example, a 1 carat round should have the diameter measurements of about 6.5mm.
