A lot of people are fans of warmer diamonds, but personally, an L would be too warm for me for an eng. ring, so I'd probably try and find something in between an L and a G. Maybe a 1.10 J color. (but size isn't extremely important to me...a 1.50 would look too big on my hand)
I'd get a 1.1-1.2ish ICaratLover2|1331567315|3146855 said:Hi - PS newbie here!
Assuming all things are equal, and you had a choice between a 0.75ct G and a 1.50ct L - what would you do?

if its a halo then I would stick to an H or G in colorthbmok said:If I absolutely have to pick between the two, and assuming both are equally well cut and eye clean, I would only consider the smaller G if it's going into a halo.

What about an August Vintage Cushions from GOG - would you still take the L? I've never seen them IRL.Amys Bling|1331572948|3146949 said:The cut of the stone would determine my choice. Some cuts of stone like OEC and vintage stoned I'd go for the L hands down.. Really depends on the stone

If you have a gorgeous antiquey/ art deco setting I would take the L in a hardbeat. I like lower colored diamonds and I think they look fabulous in art deco settings. And also some lower colored dimaonds have flor so it will make them appear whiter then they are graded.
