size 8 finger with 2.5 mm band

I am debating between settings right now and was hoping someone could show me pictures of their solitaire ring on a 2.5 mm band or smaller -- for a size eight finger. Because my fingers are big I''m a little worried that a skinny band will make them appear larger.

Also, if you have larger fingers, did you go with a different band because of your finger size?

I''m going through that same dilema. I have a size 8 finger, too. I also have a new diamond to set -- it is not a really large diamond, only 80 points, so trying to figure out a setting just right for my hand and that will set off the diamond. I will attach a picture of the ring that has worked best for my hand and that I may end up setting this diamond in -- or not.

And here is one that just made me look pudgy, although I did like the band. Perhaps if it were a little more substantial?

hey!! that looks just like the ring I''m having made except different middle stone - where did you find it???

I got it at a local jeweler. He said it was made by "Superior" but I have not been able to find anything on line about that company. Supposedly it is very high end, but again, not been able to confirm any information. It''s a gorgeous ring. I''m unsure if I want to keep it because of the pave. I want to wear my ring every day and just live in it.

Oh, and Ringgal, one think I noticed is that something that tapers larger in the middle and tends to be flatter and less rounded seems to be more flattering. SO far, LOL!

ITA and so my ring is being made with the bead set melee sunk in a bit of a channel.
