She ended back up in the ER again tonight with chest pain.
They are waiting for more results but it looks like it was esophageal spasms the whole time.
1 test says it is but they need to confirm it with another test.
She has had trouble swallowing for ever so it didn't register as a new symptom last time and they were concentrating on her heart.
This time because they knew her heart was ok they looked further and found it.

I am sorry she''s back to the ER, but glad they are getting to the bottom of this. I will be praying for her, and your family. Thanks for letting us know Karl.

It does sound like good news. I will be keeping you and your family in my thoughts and prayers!

Sending prayers her way, Karl!

Prayers outgoing.

Oh that sounds SO much better than a heart issue. Lots of prayers and dust her way that the doctors fix her right up!

The test confirmed she had it.
They gave her some meds for it, enough to last until Monday when she has an appointment with her regular doctor.

Good, glad to hear she will be going home and seeing the regular doc!!

Glad to hear they have found what is up Karl and that it is treatable. Prayers go out that she is feeling better soon!

I hope that she''s doing great Storm! Sending prayers!

Oh thank goodness Strm, hopefully now that they''ve identified what''s going on they can treat her appropriately. Hope the Monday appt goes swimmingly.

That''s definitely good news! Much better than a heart problem.

What a blessing that it isn''t her heart....many prayers for her comfort and healing!

That''s great Storm!

Her doc said it might go away on its own and gave her some meds and if it doesn''t they will look into it further in a couple weeks.

I am so glad, Storm! I had been looking for the resolution of the other thread! This is the first time that I read that her heart has been ruled out! Wonderful news!

She has an infection they aren''t sure if its related to the chest pain or not.
They ran some iv antibiotics in and sent her home with a script for antibiotics.

Hi Karl,

Hope the antibiotic help contain the virus and alleviate the chest pain.
Take care. I hope she feels better soon.

I hope they know what they are doing, Karl! I really do hope your brother will be looking out for her, and I will keep her in my prayers. It doesn''t sound like a definitive diagnosis to me! All the best to you.

I had chest pain recently (which radiated to my back) and thought I might be having a heart attack. A gallbladder ultrasound confirmed gallstones and I am scheduled to have surgery in a couple of weeks. A gallbladder can become infected-hope that has been ruled out.

My feeling is that the docs don''t have a clue what is going on and are just throwing out diagnosis after diagnosis.

Oh gosh, I am sorry prayers outgoing that they get it figured out.

Sorry to hear that Karl. How about getting a second opinion from another doctor?

Your SIL has been to the hospital on three separate occasions only to be sent home again shortly after. She has received two "diagnoses" for the first two visits, but on the third, she gets a script and is sent back home??

Talk about ineptitude on the doctors'' part for releasing her! Ridiculous!

Wow, Karl. I certainly hope that the doctors are able to figure out what is the matter with your SIL soon and get her back to health. I will keep her and your family in my thoughts.

thanks everyone
this is getting frustrating for everyone.
