Single Stone setting I'm thinking about - help please!

Hi everyone
I have fallen in love with this setting and don't know much about Single Stone since I'm in Australia.

Id like to have my princess as the centre and a cushiony halo though not round. I love the intricate milgrain. Unsure of how I feel about really separating my princess from the halo.....

If I went with ERD could they replicate this or should I get a quote from single stone?

Any insight or people with this or similar settings id love to hear from you!

I would ask a quote from both vendors: Single Stone and ERD.
Single Stone comes with a price and will be handforged. ERD makes both casted rings as well as handforged rings. I am currently working with ERD (I live in Europe) and they are a pleasure to work with.

ERD might not be willing to make an exact copy, but an inspired version should be doable.

It's a lovely design!!!
Junebug's ring is equally gorgeous and is from Simon G. You might also look into their designs and ask a quote. Not sure whether Simon G. sells premounts or does custom work.

I agree with Acinom. Get quotes from both. If you can afford the original designer for the ring you want that's the way I would go. Beautiful ring.

I honestly don't know. I would ask Single Stone what they think about that as I trust their eye.I trust ERD's aesthetic senses as well. So ask them what their thoughts are about that alteration in design.

I agree with Missy: ask the designer and trust their aesthetic eye. It could work with the cushiony outline of the halo you have in mind but I honestly don't know.

Wink at High Performance Diamonds might also be another to contact. He / his bench have made a style called the "Bella halo" in round. The only pics I could locate were on another discussion board. The owner might be on this board, but I couldn't locate pics here fast. These are copies I saved for reference while I procrastinate about what to do with my 8mm diamond. lol This is one of the options I am considering.

Rotated and set the conventional way would probably not look bad.


Attached is a princess in a double halo w/ an airline. But you can use your imagination to picture a single halo. It's also pretty easy to put a princess in an octagonal halo.

By "cushiony halo though not round", do you mean an octagonal halo? Something like this (but with mille grain)?

Another example of the octagonal halo that the 2 posters above are suggesting... With milgrain and multi sided pave.
Both examples are with Asscher shaped stones but the octagon will work with a princess as well.

The soft lines of the octagonal will complement well with the feminine feel of the ring you have selected.

Thanks for these great pics drk14! I'm not sure if I want the octagonal look or softer rounded corners like a cushion centre would have. I don't like the sharp square halo even though I love my princess hehe.

Acinom I love your ring and often come across it on here! I don't think I'd do multi sided pavè but think its gorgeous. I suppose the octagonal halo looks a bit more "vintagy" which is what I love. I'll see what they come back with!

Sooooo Rutherford in Melbourne stocks These and can order one for me. I may have to ship my
Diamond though to USA as that's where they'll make it... Waiting on ERD still.
