The AGS Ideal is out from the previous thread. I already have a couple of suggestions from that one. What about these in addition? Any more recommendations? I have set up a couple to look at on JA, but have until tomorrow to change my options. Also looking at the options mentioned on Enchanted and Whiteflash.

Re: Since we are shying away from the feathers: help me choo

I think the 2.2 ct J VS2 from Enchanted Diamonds is more desirable than any of the K color stones, so scratch them. And it is larger or higher clarity than all the J stones you just listed. So I am not getting your question really. I wouldn't choose any of these over the one at ED. The JA 2.17 J SI1 costs more than the 2.2 J VS2 at ED.

Re: Since we are shying away from the feathers: help me choo

I agree, the 2.21j at enchanted is the nicest. Probably shouldn't have bothered to post the more expensive stones.

Unfortunately, $16k is a bit of a budget stretcher, which is why I had posted a few cheaper ones as well.

I called about a really nice 2.26 vvs2 they had for $14,600, he said it wasn't available.

He did recommend a 2.14 j that had nice faceting, a bit cheaper

Re: Since we are shying away from the feathers: help me choo

I'd put that 2.21 on hold if you can. Honestly, there are lurkers here who read stone recommendations and sometimes buy them. Outside of the superideal cuts which are in a higher price category, I think that is going to be the best stone for your budget.

But if you don't want to spend that much, let me look at ED and see if there are any good stones that are slightly smaller.

Re: Since we are shying away from the feathers: help me choo

This one looks possible. Not as good as the 2.21, but decent if you need to be under $15k. I think the 2.21 is worth it, though, if you can do it.

Thank you. I was considering this as well. No? Inclusion is a little larger, I can live though.

I agree, the 2.21 is the nicest, just out of range perhaps. I could live with 8.2mm if we are talking a bit price difference. That is still sizable!

Re: Since we are shying away from the feathers: help me choo

Black inclusions right in the center are an elimination factor for me. They need to be white/colorless for me to consider inclusions right near the table.
