recently read about a 40 carat diamond. My girlfriend wanted to know how big that is. Assume standard brilliant cut. what would the diameter and height be?

Approx.: 22mm. to 22.50mm. diameter.
13.50mm. total depth+/-

actually the rock in question was a gift from the late Aaron Spelling to his second wife. my gf has simple tastes, like the monthly mortgage on her house being paid.
