My boyfriend and I need to make some serious changes to our diet and neither one of us are cooks. I love to flip through cookbooks to get ideas but when it comes time to go shopping for ingredients and preparing the meal, I get totally overwhelmed. I can follow a recipe -- I''m not totally inept, but although I love the IDEA of cooking, the reality of it isn''t as fun as I''d like it to be. We do try to be healthy in some ways (we drink skim milk, eat reduced fat or non fat items a lot, drink only diet sodas or water mostly) but I know we could be doing MUCH better. We eat out or get take out way more than we should.
