Similar earrings to these pair from White Flash?

I love the design of these White Flash earrings but I don't need diamonds as high in quality as these that come with (F/G in color and VS in clarity). I would be happy with I-J color diamonds and SI2 clarity since nobody manages to get very close to your ears.

Does another retailer make a similar pair that you could recommend?

They would probably be able to make them for you w/the type of diamonds you wish ... Brian Gavin Diamonds is another popular choice around here for custom work.

Not sure who sells ready made hoops like that but if I run across any I''ll be back to post.

I have a hard time sorting through Brian Gavin''s inventory with their website design as it is now... would it actually be cheaper to have them custom-make something than to just buy "off the shelf?"

Can''t say for sure, but I bet having Whiteflash make in lower color/clarity specs would be pretty comperable to buying some "off the shelf" somewhere else AND you''d get much higher quality diamonds. Since this is one of their popular "stock" pieces they wouldnt'' have to do much "custom" work to it, yanno?

Brian Gavin Diamonds does phenomenal work. Just got a gorgeous pair of handmade bezel studs from them this past week. I can''t recall if they''ve done a shared prong huggie hoop LIKE this one, so I don''t know whether their quote would be higher or not based on figuring out something new. In other words -- if they HAVEN''T made that yet it might be more "custom" that the Whiteflashe one is. However, I get the feeling that they are staying competitive price wise even WHEN more work is involved so they can branch out into new items quickly. Sort of win/win.

If you''re looking for a VERY much lower price point & don''t mind MUCH lower quality diamonds then there are probably places to get off the rack versions. Its such a lovely style. I adore it. The diamonds are so prominent though in a piece with so few diamonds I''d probably try to get the WF or BGD versions -- for mind clean reasons as well as superior sparkle. (IMHO!)

In the end, I just decided to get these and I am SO HAPPY I did and I am so in love with them. They haven''t come off my ears since they arrived. Metromom, thanks so much! It's great to see a real life perspective. I think this may be my Christmas present.

Just an update... I emailed with Bob @ White Flash and he said they wouldn't customize the earrings with higher color stones. Maybe I will ask Brian Gavin if they can do a similar earring (or is that a faux-pas)? I personally have a high tolerance for both color and clarity, especially when it comes to earrings.

Metromom, I'm glad you're happy you bought them as is. I know I'll have trouble convincing Santa to spend $2,000 on what he will perceive as teeny little earrings (men!). I may have to do just that if customizing is too much trouble.
