Silly question about avatar

How do I upload a photo? I've looked everywhere?? Duh

go to:

my pages/my account/edit/user profile.

The "user profile" option shows up in sort of a secondary menu below the main menu options.

At the top of this screen click on Welcome, dar7



Click on the tab for Edit.



Underneath all the blue tabs, click on the words "User Profile".

Scroll down and click on the white tab for Choose File.



A window will pop up in which you must find and double click on your avatar file.

Then you must scroll down and click on the white tab for Submit.

I have a saying, "Things can never be too clear."

Often what seems obvious to one person will be a complete mystery to another.

One thing I hate about computers is software is that it is written by very smart people to whom everything is 'obvious' or 'common sense'.
Uhm ...
Lots of stuff on computers/websites is far from obvious to me.

Often directions assume a level of competence/familiarity that is not there.
IMO, screen captures help the reader know what to look for on their monitor.

Long ago I tried to upload my avatar several times without ever thinking to scroll down to find and click on a Submit tab.
I mean, how would I know that would be needed? ... after all I had just found and uploaded my avatar file like it asked.

I'm certain that to many people (younger and smarter) the need to find a submit button and look for it by scrolling down would be common sense and obvious, and not worth mentioning.
