So I''ve done some research and found that "feather" is a nice word for "crack" and that, in some cases, a feather can compromise the integrity of the diamond.

What can you tell me about this feather inclusion?:

I am still looking for the right diamond. Unfortunately, inventory is low right now at WF, so I am considering diamonds with more inclusions than I had planned. I am trying to talk myself into being okay with SI1, but may just wait til I have more to choose from. I am lucky that my bf is so patient with me

Thanks for your input,

if it is structural problems that you are worried about then I would say you have nothing to worry about. I think it looks pretty good to me and it sure doesn''t seem to be a problem looking at the picture, it might be particularly thin? I would talk to white flash about it, but remember, this crack has been in this diamond for a LONG LONG time and it has sat there while undergoing intense stress and pressure as it was cut and polished but without having any adverse effects, so, my understanding is that it is VERY VERY unlikely that this should cause any problem. And if the royal flush came flying out three hands in a and for some inexplicably reason the feather did grow into a problem, well, if you are having it insured that wouldn''t be much of a risk.

But on the other hand, why not wait? I say this one is worth finding out more about its appearance from various angles and trying to better understand its personal characteristics in regards to light performance, but, waiting is pretty reasonable to.

Ditto Wh4, an SI1 ACA won''t have any issues with the feather.

I guess I''m being hesitant because of the limited options. I like options!

Thanks!

WF gets new stones in around every 6 weeks. I sincerely would wait and get exactly what you want. If you want VS, you should get one.
