I am looking to get an eternity ring with about 1.5-1.7 carats total. I''ve looked at Signed Pieces and Firenze and they seem to have comparable rings, Firenze being a little cheaper. Does anyone have any experience with Firenze? I know SP gets good reviews. I want the stones to be well cut and sparkly!

Hmmm, tough decision. What is the difference in price?

If the price difference is just a little, I would probably go with signed pieces. They are known for their eternity bands, have high color/clarity/cut melee, and the stones look like they are set well. However, if the price difference is higher then maybe I''d go for the firenze rings.

Signed Pieces
1.28 ct -- $2255
1.44ct -- $2525

The photo from facets looks very nice.

Firenze
1.30 ct -- $1770
1.62 ct -- $2280

This is about the size.

This is the one fron Firenze. The photo isn''t as good so you can''t see detail.

I''ve never heard of Firenze. What are the specs of the diamonds from Firenze? Are they comparable to Signed Pieces?

I''ve bought 2 rings from Firenze and love both. They are gorgeous! (Look for my threads about the Simon G ring and the pink diamond band.) I''m very pleased and would give them an excellent rating. I''ve also bought several things from Signed Pieces....mostly Tiffany items, but I did buy their diamond cross pendant. The diamonds were especially white, clean and sparkly. I was very impressed. I''d highly recommend them too. I think you''d be happy with either company.

Thanks for your comments.

Firenze uses F -- VS2 -- excellent cut

SP uses F-G -- VVS-VS -- ideal or premium cut

At the size of stone in an eternity band it doesn''t seem like I''d be able to tell the difference between excellent, ideal or premium cuts. I don''t think I could go wrong with either.
