Signature Gurhan Earrings

Hi!...I actually have them already, and I love Gurhan myself... I was actually considering working for him at one point, but I couldn''t take the job at the time... I was just curious to know what everyone thought... They are beautiful but I think the diamond briolettes could be a little bigger...

They looks very dainty from this side of the screen. But gold is heavy... wonder if they sit like this on the war too, or tend to lean downwards. There is no Gurhan shop around to get an idea.

When I get my digital camera back I will take a pic of them on my ear

They are a little heavy for such a small earring, but they sit on the ear nicely. They don''t hang down or pull at alll, which is surprising for their heft. No I am not a jeweler, but I have a diploma from G.I.A.

Yes, this is my first 24k gold experience, and I am in love with it. My wallet cannot keep up with this habit!

....and Firegoddess, I just got that email from Gurhan also...I am way too addicted to all of his jewelry. There is one GORGEOUS emerald ring on his website, I think it is in the one of a kind section, there is a blue topaz ring next to it...I don''t know what cut it is, it looks so odd, almost like half rough, half faceted, that''s the best way I can describe it. The color looks amazing, it looks like a beautiful sea-green. Ahh let me stop, i want everything

wHAT THE?!? He was wearing them?!?! I find that quite odd, I mean I can see if his wife was wearing them, but what the?!

Yep I swear he was wearing those earrings. Maybe that''s why they''re his signature earrings...He was in a small room with a couple of people working at a bench and was talking about how he got started and showing the sheet of gold he first worked on which he keeps in his wallet. then it segued to the jewelry bazaar in Istanbul and jewelry-making upstairs the Bazaar. Fascinating programme.

gurhan comes from turkey and i don''t think bound by western civilizations laws that says men don''t wear such obvious and gorgeous ornamentation...

however, back in queen elizabeth the first''s day, a man of her court would have loved to be seen in those.
