SI1 and eye clean

Hello,
I''m a little confused. The definition of SI1 is that you need a 10x magnification to see it. Does that mean all SI1 are eye-clean? Or is this something I''d still need to confirm with the vendor? (I realize that''s always a good idea to do,but wondering more generally. I''d hate to ping them for every single stone I''m considering.)

Many are, but yes, you should confirm all of them.

Some are some aren''t you have to confirm with the vendor. It''s not one size fits all. You can''t generalize....

From the GIA FAQ:

Slightly Included (SI1 and SI2): contain noticeable inclusions which are easy (SI1) or very easy (SI2) to see under 10X. In some SIs, inclusions can be seen with the unaided eye.

As others have mentioned most SI1 stones are eye clean. However, many are not, so I would check with any vendor you work with and also ask them what their definition of eye clean is.

I''ve been putting off getting glasses. Maybe I''ll just skip them -- not only would I save on eyewear but apparently also in jewelry LOL.
