More than anything, I would LOVE to spend the holidays with our families. It has been far too long since we have all been together, which is sad - and it won''t happen this year.

As far as tangible things go, I''m hoping to acquire a Sparkle Spa this year. Which may really be pushing my luck, considering that my new MWM e-ring and wedding band are coming in soon, so I think I broke the bank for the next million holidays with that one! But the way I look at it, one gift will help me preserve the other -right? Come on -help me out here!

And, I''m with you, Haven - a handwritten, meaningful letter from my hubby would really be wonderful.

disc cutter set from 1/8'' to 1''

soldering board (firebrick is getting a bit rough looking: great for fusing, but soldering on it tends to eat it)

2 oz 24 gauge fine silver wire

1 oz 24 gauge 22k gold wire

Don''t want much do I? Santa is probably laughing up a lung right now. I''d be quite pleased with the soldering board, the charcoal, and my O2 tank filled. (Don''t want to stress out Santa, right??)

I would be quite happy with a O2/gas torch. Mine is just gas and not always up for the job.

I would like more time, a place I could forge to my heart''s contentment and not have to worry about annoying the neighbors and good supply of metal.

I want the ultimate most beautiful nutcracker. I collected nutcrackers as a child, and that was going to be my "thing" my mom does Santa''s, grandmother does snowmen. Last year my mom''s basset hound ate ALL OF MY NUTCRACKERS including THE nutcracker. He was so beautiful. He had a blue uniform, white pants, black boots with gold embellishments. He had a blue felt cape with white trim. His hat was a beautiful fading blue (lighter at the bottom, dark at the top). He was just swoon. He had all gold embellishments on his uniform. My mom''s dog ate his legs off, and destroyed his hat.

That, or I need to start a new Christmas collection.... perhaps reindeer? Are there many creative and beautiful reindeer? Nutcrackers certainly aren''t what they used to be. Or perhaps angels?

That sucks, DF. Hope the hound didn''t get too sick after eating the nutcrackers. If you really like them, re-start your collection. Steinbach makes absolutely gorgeous ones (my friend Chris has been collecting them for YEARS, he''s 34 so he has tons), and Kurt Adler makes nice ones at a significantly lower price point.
