I would be quite happy with a O2/gas torch. Mine is just gas and not always up for the job.Date: 12/1/2009 10:27:53 PM

Any or all of the following: (and this is the abbreviated list)
1 oz 22 gauge gold-filled wire
2 standard charcoal blocks
disc cutter set from 1/8'' to 1''
1 oz 28 gauge gold-filled wire
soldering board (firebrick is getting a bit rough looking: great for fusing, but soldering on it tends to eat it)
2 oz 24 gauge fine silver wire
1 oz 24 gauge 22k gold wirethe price!! but hey, it''s a list to SANTA, right?![]()
My O2 tank miraculously filled with O2
SPACE to put it all, safely out of sight, but easy at hand.
MORE TIME!!!
Don''t want much do I? Santa is probably laughing up a lung right now. I''d be quite pleased with the soldering board, the charcoal, and my O2 tank filled. (Don''t want to stress out Santa, right??)
That sucks, DF. Hope the hound didn''t get too sick after eating the nutcrackers. If you really like them, re-start your collection. Steinbach makes absolutely gorgeous ones (my friend Chris has been collecting them for YEARS, he''s 34 so he has tons), and Kurt Adler makes nice ones at a significantly lower price point.Date: 12/4/2009 9:44:49 AM

I want the ultimate most beautiful nutcracker. I collected nutcrackers as a child, and that was going to be my ''thing'' my mom does Santa''s, grandmother does snowmen. Last year my mom''s basset hound ate ALL OF MY NUTCRACKERS including THE nutcracker. He was so beautiful. He had a blue uniform, white pants, black boots with gold embellishments. He had a blue felt cape with white trim. His hat was a beautiful fading blue (lighter at the bottom, dark at the top). He was just swoon. He had all gold embellishments on his uniform. My mom''s dog ate his legs off, and destroyed his hat.![]()
That, or I need to start a new Christmas collection.... perhaps reindeer? Are there many creative and beautiful reindeer? Nutcrackers certainly aren''t what they used to be. Or perhaps angels?
2009 was an unfailingly crappy year for me; for many of us I think.Date: 12/1/2009 11:28:41 PM

Hey, World peace is on my wish list too! That and a 3 ct GOG chunky cushion. Bout as much chance as hell freezing over of either I suspect. But I can''t complain, I have my own piece of frozen over Christmas winter wonderland.Date: 12/1/2009 9:39:22 PM
