We need SO many more photos and details on this beauty. I love the fluted basket (?) and how it frames the diamond.

@Dreamer_D Of course! I purchased the diamond from Gilded Lane, it was set. i didn't care for the setting so I sent the ring to David and for the first time ever asked him to send it to GIA to get the diamond certified first. Joycelyn had estimated the diamond as an OP and SI1.
It came back as S-T and I1. I'm not going to lie, at first I was bummed. Especially about the clarity. Sometimes ignorance is bliss. I do want to say, I don't think Jocelyn was being dishonest. I do think for myself I had to realize that this is a bling slinger's best guess and that if you purchase a diamond without a cert., you are taking a chance.

Once I had the ring in hand, I have never looked back. I will say this, in the other setting, also gold, it had warmth. I did not see any yellow. When I got it I was completely blown away by it. It looks like a lemon drop! It has the fluted halo, which I chose because I liked it, not to enhance any color since I didn't see yellow. There is no cup though.

I have seen in this diamond the most stunning, beautiful facet pattern. I happened to look down at my hand while I was at a light, I have never had a diamond light up like she does. Took my breath away!!!! Such big chunky bright colors all across the diamond. Lit up like it was Christmas!

It has strong blue fluorescent. Something Jocelyn said would help offset the OP color. I was surprised that with that it would still look so yellow!

Table is 60%
Depth is 53.4
Are those number's crazy?! I honestly have never seen I diamond with those numbers!!!

It doesn't have the much desired high crown.

Anything else Dreamer? Just let me know:)

2nd’ing the request for more of the ring & stone pictures and deets
 your eye and whole collection @peppermintpatty

I don't have any photos of the stone loose as I never had it loose. I will post more photos!

I think I covered diamond details, if not please let me know:)

The setting- I adore the setting so very much too!

I wouldn't change a thing. Glad I trusted David and went with 18k yellow gold. I was thinking about two-tone. He was right- all gold was the way to go. The ring weighs 8.1 grams. the since diamonds are OEC's .52 carats L-M color. They are the perfect color. I like the contrast a lot against the ST diamond.

Oh! I forgot to add, the diamond is 2.58ct.
Dimensions- 9.06 x 9.10 x 4.85

If i forgot anything, please let me know.

Thank you so much for the lovely compliments, It means the world coming from you. You know I respect and admire your eye and collection as well!!! :)

Gorgeous ring! The new setting is just perfect for it. I'm sorry about the disappointing report, but thank you for telling us. She looks incredible in her new dress regardless of the report and the color is gorgeous! :kiss2:

Thank you @newtojewels

It was definitely a learning experience as far as you are buying a diamond and not a piece of paper. I admit at first I was disappointed. Now I just feel fortunate that she is mine!

I can't seem to capture how yellow she truly is. I need to keep trying to get better photos.

I have been dying to ask for an update about your gorgeous ring!!!!

No updates yet, but my PS family will be among the first to know! There have been a lot of life changes with new job, buying a house, serious family health issues, travel and other weddings we're attending, etc., so sadly my ring has been on the back burner. I'm not worried, it'll happen when it happens. We were going through our calendars and realized that between the two of us there was not a single weekend we were both free with no travel from early June until the middle of August o_O

I'm so glad you could get over the report to see the beautiful stone and ring! I want to see 300 more photos, please :kiss2:

I figured Erika would take some time to do the beyond beautiful setting! Well worth the wait!!! How is your new job going? Well I hope:) You bought a house?!!! How exciting!!! I bet your babies ( kittens) are loving that! I am so excited and happy for you! Sorry about the health issues, they are by far the hardest thing we have to deal with in life when it comes to our loved ones.

It most certainly will happen. I'm thrilled that you are just living your life, traveling, and all of the other exciting milestones in your life and not stressing over that. It's meant to be fun and wonderful! Good for you!!! You've always been level-headed and have an excellent attitude!

That is a crazy busy schedule! It's a good thing you love to travel!

Once I started wearing the ring I am so happy to say it wasn't difficult at all :)

I am going to sneak in lunch and them pictures are coming!!!!

It’s a beautiful diamond. I would call it a transitional cut, perhaps even an American Cut, based on those proportions. It seems to have a table and crown height more similar to an MRB with a pavilion like an OEC. The symmetry of the cut is not quite as perfect as you can see in MRBs, or in my own American Cut, which is why it doesn’t show big fat arrows, but if you look carefully you can see them — they are just a little chaotic. It’s a beautiful cut! I can see why you were displeased about the color and clarity grade. But as long as you paid a fair price for what it actually is, I would not be bothered. It’s glorious.

Thank you @Dreamer_D for responding.I was so hoping you would! I believe Jocelyn called it a transitional cut. I agree they are a bit chaotic. I think she has a beautiful cut too, thank you. I was disappointed about the clarity and cut at first. I am so happy I got over it and can enjoy the diamond for how she looks and not the certificate. I did really wonder if I would be able to get over the mind clean thing. I surprised myself that I did to be honest! I felt like it was a fair price with what I was told she was approximately. I feel since she faces up like a 3ct and the stone is so beautiful, I did pay a fair price. That is high praise coming from you- glorious is quite a word for her, thank you!

I am going to have to go back and look at what an American Cut is. I believe you and Inked discussed it before. I do have a couple of photos where the arrows are more crisp. I just always feel like those aren't the really pretty pictures.
