I ordered one from Occanseydesigns and it''s beautiful, but it''s SO heavy. I''m thinking about not using it now. It''s a cathedral length, mantilla veil with lace all around the edges. Looks just like Mandarine''s. I always wanted a cathedral length mantilla, but now I''m starting to see why they might not be as popular of a choice.

Did anyone have one of these before? If so, was it a pain to walk around with during the ceremony? I''m taking it off during the reception, but it won''t stay over my shoulders when I walk. It tends to swing back, and it doesn''t look so great like that.

If you didn''t have a cathedral length, I just want to see some other options! Thanks!

are you wearing it as a drop veil or are you pinning it somehow? is it attached to a comb? how are you wearing your hair? I can imagine with the lace + the length it''d get a little heavy.

I had a length of tulle that i used as a drop veil, it hit the floor in front and in back of me, a little past the dress in back ( i only had a sweep train). But, I wore my hair half up/half down and used a jeweled brooch to secure the veil during my walk down the aisle & when it was lifted back before we kissed. The brooch was pinned to the rubber bands, but you could also use hair pins, i''d imagine.

i''ll see if i can rustle up some photos when i get home from work (yup, posting from work, terrible!)
