This is probably the most unimpressive item posted on the thread, but for some reason hammered yellow gold has been scarce the last few years! I ordered these last October and they came in at the end of May, so a 7 month wait! Then I had the longer posts soldered in, so I just received them around a week ago! Ironically my very first piece in 2016 was the hammered yg bracelet! I then worked on my white gold collection and have returned to yellow gold!

I apparently didn't post my onyx bracelet that I also got before the price increase, so I'll include it, too!

Well, in my opinion, some of the Cartier pieces and Tiffany's hardware line, which are a little more masculine and all metal, would be better for those who are wearing jewelry playing major league baseball. I think most of us know that stone Alhambra pieces shouldn't be worn while playing sports, swimming, showering, etc. People can obviously treat jewelry any way they please, but I just hate to see nice jewelry ruined, and that would include men or women who wear it while swimming, showering, playing sports, etc.

I'll be glad when the fads move on to other things, and those of us who collect classic VCA longer term hopefully will be able to access the pieces we want without having to wait for months.

Pretty gimmicks. Since that is what they are for these guys, I think I'll "steal (from)" them on base. I played baseball, too, after all. (malachite would have matched my old uniform...) That said, perhaps, VCA will make a bubble gum pink jewel in honor of these newly, minted, ballers.

I vaguely remember a few years ago the major league baseball players all went through a pearl phase. Anyone remember this? They were wearing strands of pearls. Anyway, from what I understand, baseball players are pretty much the most superstitious people in the world, so if they are wearing Alhambra and winning, they will most likely be wearing it until the end of the season.

That said, it would be great if they would do wear and tear vlogs on the various stones at the end of said season.

Also, I added a new piece: the pave vintage Alhambra necklace.

I blame VCA for getting me into WG/plat + diamonds! The sparkly, icy look is simply sublime. I was deciding between the WG guilloche and pave, and bit the bullet on the pave.

My daily fuss-free look is now the VCA pave necklace with Hermes Finesse earrings. So easy to wear and goes with everything!

This is beautiful on you, what a great choice. I recently bought the Sweet Alhambra Diamond pendant online, and it's so small! I should've returned it, but instead, I bought a 14K extender and that helps.

Funny thing, after living nowhere near a VCA boutique in two states, I'm going to Las Vegas very soon!

Hehehe true, the guilloche is beautiful too - but I thought the pave is more timeless. If I got the guilloche, I felt that I’d probably still want the pave sometime in the future. With the pave, I wouldn’t feel the “need” for guilloche.

Re: watch - I love the Grand Seiko Spring Drive movement, it’s mesmerising. I’ve been looking at getting a second Grand Seiko but they don’t do any in YG or RG, and I don’t want another steel / titanium watch…!

I have a GS cherry blossom, and you are so right about the spring drive! It’s just somehow beautifully fluid and smooth. The only watch I have ever just stared at.

GS does gorgeous dials. I hear you on wanting more metal choices, though!
