Show me your Pearls!

Summer is coming. Hang on D.
We are your opposite and the height of summer. Pretty hot and hard to sleep.
I bead all summer as more skin exposed.

its just on 5.30 pm and its still light
our weather has been weeks and weeks of rain so its been getting dark earlier than it should
and saw daffodils down at the park by the river -just a few but actually daffs not just early cheer
ive been cold in bed this week, but its cold to get up and find another blanket so i eventually just get up between 5 and 6 and put the heat pump on
heat pumps are great here -they doc old in the summer

Look close, you'll see it :)20250711_100755.jpg

im starting my day looking at this lovely pendent again
its not quite quarter to seven in the am and its cold and dark outside and im thinking about the northern summer !

im getting a new strand !
from a lovley PSer, im rehoming one of hr lavender ones
its going to be excitting to just wear it and not have to get it strung first
its 17 inches so i hope no fat neck trouble (but no worries if i need an extender)
i have been wearing my Micheal Hill (overpriced mall jeweller, not great pearls)
white freshwater strand i brought to make my daisy necklace (but it wasnt white enough)
anyway i always thought it felt a bit tight but its been sitting happily on my neck
maybe its the cold weather, lots of frosts and chilly days

its raining
its coldish
perfect pearl weather
plus its wednesday
well im wearing apricot peals, not quite pink

I have this set of pearls I inherited from a family member over 20 years ago. They are from the 1950s-1980s. Necklace, bracelet, pendant, dinner ring, Stud earrings,

Can anyone tell me anything about these? I am considering having them appraised but would like a little more info if anyone has any suggestions. I'm in Vancouver BC

I also have this more traditional set with chain spacers. The Bracelet and necklace are from the 1960s, the studs I think were with them but the knot studs are newer.

These are my newest addition, gold south sea pearls. I reached out to @molinePDG and he delivered! This is my first pair of GSS, and likely won’t be my last. ;)2 The perfect, everyday size, at 8.8mm. His pics are better than mine…. Andrew was a pleasure to work with.IMG_2400.jpegIMG_2398.jpeg

Hello! These look like baroque blue akoya but I’m not sure if they were around in the 50-80s, will let more experienced members chime in :)

While waiting for two diamond rings (one in design phase and the other being made) I’ve been buying Akoya’s from an Australian pearl farm. Also while on one of our multiple plane trips I bought an Akoya strand from Druzy/Etsy.
The colours of the pearls are gorgeous IRL tried to show what I see but it’s too hard to capture in photos; 1st photo are Australian and 2nd is the Druzy strand & Australian bracelets.
