I am planning to buy a solitaire princess cut engagement ring for my girlfriend. I'm pretty sure I'll go with around 3/4ct but I was wondering what that looked like on a finger around a size 6. Can anyone show me pictures of theirs with measurements of the diamond and finger size? I really want to see what it will look like on her hand. Thanks!

Asscher cuts will work too since they are similar in shape and size. If anyone could help I would be really grateful.

I'm sorry I don't have a picture, but my original wedding set (lost it after 10 years) had a 3/4 C solitaire and my finger is a size 6. I loved it and I thought it was perfect. hope you get some pics to see soon.

spiderwebb, my ring is not a very good example, but I have a .553 x-factor princess (from WhiteFlash, no longer available as far as I can tell from their site) and my ring size is now re-sized to a 5.25. You can see images in this thread:

You probably already know that princess cut stones 'face up' smaller than other stones. My diamond is a hair over a 1/2 carat, but it measures 4.72x4.71x3.26mm. Asschers also face up smaller than other cuts. They are two very different styles, though, so I'm not sure that they're interchangeable for comparison sake. If I had to do it all over again and go for the biggest face up, I'd go with a pear shape :lickout:

This thread features a lot of princess rings:

If you scroll a bit, vanillalatte0816 has a .7 princess. She doesn't state her finger size, though.

Edited to add: this is my ring below.

Thanks for those pictures. They give me a pretty good idea of what it will look like on her hands. I'm looking at diamonds around 5mm so I think it will be a nice size.

I'm sure she will be thrilled!
