Should wedding ring size be the same as e-ring size?

My e-ring is size 4.75. I would like WF's Danielle http://www.whiteflash.com/right-hand-rings/danielle-jazz-bezel-diamond-right-hand-ring-174.htm as my wedding band. I am not sure if I should order the same size or go up to size 5 because it is technically stacking.

What do you think? Are your e-ring and wedding band the same size?

My WB is a shared prong eternity so I felt safe going up 1/4 in size because it wouldn't matter if it turned. So my ER is a size 6 and my WB a 6.25 and that works perfectly for me. However, if you are going to a partial eternity that would be a concern. Since you are stacking it would it a bit snugger though so it might work. Difficult to say for sure.

I would definitely try on a smiliar mm band with your e-ring before committing.

if you goto boone rings, select a ring and then click the link or question mark next to the size for more info, a chart pops up with the size difference between them. its approximately .017 inches different, or in metric terms, 15.27mm versus 15.70mm. The width of the ring or rings together can make a difference too.

Good luck

The other thing to take into consideration is whether you'll be wearing your wedding ring alone. If so, you may not want to go up in size.

Edited: the band you're looking at is thin, so it would make sense to get a 4.75 as long as your eng band is thin. The best thing to do is go to the mall and try on some similar bands to get an idea of sizing before ordering online!

My eng is a 4.75 (I'm pretty sure or it's a 4.5) and my wedding band is a 5. If I try to wear my eng ring alone, it spins around because it's so loose (but doesn't slip off my finger b/c I have big knuckles) and when I wear my rings together, they fit VERY snuggly. They're fine during the day, but in the morning, both rings are stuck firmly on my fingers. Because of the spinning, I cannot wear my eng ring alone, but can wear my size 5 wedding band alone b/c it's wider...if it was thin, it would have made sense to go with a smaller size as long as it still fit over my knuckles (but it's a moot point as my wedding band cannot be sized - if it could have though...)

Thanks everyone!

I decided to get the size 5. I live in Atlanta, and the summers regularly see 100 degree heat. My fingers will most likely swell. I am thinking about resizing my e-ring to size 5 when the band arrives. The rings would be the same edge to edge width then.

can't wait to see our set!
