Should the diamond be set by Verragio or local jeweler?

My ring is currently being made/customized right now by Verragio, but the jeweler said that they would set the diamond I bought themselves. Would that void any warranties from Verragio? Should I ask them to get Verragio to set it instead? Thanks in advance!

I would take this question straight to Verragio. When I was looking at Verragio rings a year and a bit ago, I had two jewellers tell me two different things regarding having my diamond set and the warranty. One said it had to be done by Verragio in order to keep the warranty and the other said they would do the setting and it would be fine. I didn't pursue a definitive answer because I didn't choose the Verragio setting in the end, but the lesson learned was to go to the source for answers and to double check everything. Good luck!
