Hi all, should I worry about durability and comfort (ring spinning while wearing) with a 1.8mm width setting linked below? It will be set with a 2.19 carat round brilliant, with hidden halo but no pave diamonds on the band. Should I get a wider setting? Thanks In advance!

i don't think you have to worry too much about durability as far as the head getting knocked off, b/c the setting is securely attached to the base of the ring. with a 2ct stone it may spin, you could get sizing bumps put in at a later time if it annoys you.

it would still be a slim ring if you wanted to go up to 2m width for added piece of mind.

the bottom of my ring tapers down to about 1.8m and it does spin (except when it's hot and my fingers swell). i don't have bumps, i just twist it back into place. i worry that eventually it will get dinged badly enough that i'll want to replace it since there's not a lot of metal to spare to buff out scratches, but we'll figure that out when i get there.

I tend to go for a wider bottom to my bands to stop spinning. It can still look very delicate over the shoulders and down the shank but gives a broader base. I think this will spin if you wear it alone - but may be oK with another band or two next to it.
