I had been thinking for the longest time that I would not wear a necklace with my dress, but now I am not so sure. Will my neck look too bare? Also, I have a beautiful solitaire diamond from my grandma that I could make into a necklace of some sort, so that would have special meaning too..

Here are the details:

Dress: Melissa Sweet Lia: http://community.theknot.com/cs/ks/user/page.aspx?username=MelissaSweetLia

My earrings are these blue ones attached. They are actually a lighter blue in person, and they are smaller than they look in this picture.

So....necklace or no necklace? And would a diamond solitaire "work" with those earrings or seem mismatched? Has anyone seen some other sort of diamond necklace that has a round solitaire I could incorporate? I really like vintagey looking stuff...

Thanks for any help you can provide :)

Would something like this be weird?

Hi,

The neckline on your dress is so gorgeous....I would leave it alone, and just wear the earrings. On my wedding day, I wore really pretty chandelier earrings, a bracelet, and that's it, besides my rings. My dress had a similar look to yours (the top), so I didnt want to wear anything on my neck that would take away from it....

Good luck!!!!

I think something really simple like a solitaire pendant would be lovely, but I''m one of those girls who loves a necklace with a strapless dress, and I''m sure there are plenty here who will disagree with me!

Thanks for your input guys! I am still torn. Maybe I will wait until the dress comes in and try it on with my earrings, and then see if it needs something else.

Thanks guys :)

I think you can wear the simple necklace with the dress and earrings, and not be overly accessorized.
