I have a diamond bracelet from along time ago- yellow gold and I just don''t wear it. Since gold is up a little in value, could i give a jeweler the gold and get some earrings made? I am not sure about the quality at all- Does the quality need to be good to make some earrings? Any other ideas? Thanks- I thought with all the beautiful projects you guys come up with, I shouldn''t just leave them sitting in a box...

I would say that it might be possible. You''d really have to ask your jeweler what the cost would be. Sometimes a custom project like that might cost more than just buying earrings. I wouldn''t do it in that case unless the bracelet had some kind of sentimental value.

Good point Diamondseeker- thanks for the info. The bracelet does not really have sentimental value for me. What''s the best thing to do with it then? What I mean is, is there any hope that I would get a decent amt of money trying to sell it? Or better to keep it and try to wear it? I guess I should get a jewelers opinion on what it''s worth and maybe that will help me decide.
