As long as there are other people in the park that the photographer can camouflage into, it could be really nice - especially if the photographer captures the exact moment of surprise.

Better to have a friend take photos than to hire a stranger. Just personal preference. Save the photographer for the wedding.

Yes especially if you can do it on like a Tuesday morning or when a typical photographer isn't booked you can negotiate some great rates. I know its hard but there is so much markup in the wedding industry you have room to negotiate.

If you have the budget to get a photographer then you should get one but if you don't you don't really need to get one to make great photos
