Hi Pricescopers
I hope you''re all very well.
My stone is arriving from James Allen on Monday, woohoo! Very excited. I have made an appointment to meet and brief Leon on Wednesday, and I''m doubly-excited about that!
Now, should I get my loose stone appraised before meeting Leon, or only afterwards, when it''s set? Can you get a comprehensive appraisal (ie. ensuring the stone matches the grades on the GIA cert) once it''s set?
FYI, I''ll be setting the stone in a four-prong solitaire setting, with a thin pave shank, so I imagine the stone will still be very "accessible" to an appraiser once set.
Thanks for your advice!
