Hi,

First time poster but have tried to absorb a lot of info from the site. I'm currently looking at two diamonds and having a tough time. Would love to hear any opinions from the experts.

1) 1.22 ct from whiteflash, seems like everything should be top notch: http://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-3428945.htm?source=pricescope

2) 1.44 ct from eternity by yoni, I asked for pictures which he just provided, but they are not ideal so I would appreciate someone's knowledge to evaluate them.

Gia certificate: http://www.gia.edu/cs/Satellite?reportno=2186613767&childpagename=GIA%2FPage%2FReportCheck&pagename=GIA%2FDispatcher&c=Page&cid=1355954554547

Pictures are attached

I would truly appreciate anyone taking a few minutes to glance through this, I'm in a little over my head!

It looks like you have two great choices here. You can't go wrong with an ACA stone, however, I'm really loving the 1.44 ct choice. Images look good - you have an IS, and hearts and arrows there. Doesn't look like a true hearts and arrows, but if that doesn't matter to you then I'd go for stone #2 due to the larger size and the H color. I'm not sure what the price difference is however.

If you think it may be important some day down the road, check what the trade-up or buy back policy is with the eternity by yoni stone. WF has an excellent trade up and buy back policy with their ACA stones.

Good luck!

+1

really good feedback

It may not be an ACA but the 1.44 is a really nice stone. I would go with the bigger size. Like JDDN said, check on upgrade
policy if it might be important to you down the road.

Thank you very much for the feedback! Last question, should I have any concerns about the star length being 45%? Seems somewhat low, and is there some kind of correlation between this and a "painted" girdle? I have to be honest, I have zero understanding of what this means so far  thanks again!

Girdle doesnt look painted and 45% stars are fine. Both stones look great! I would go for the higher size and color as it has nice complementing angles and images that show a great performer, but if the whiteflash policies appeal to you that might be a better route.

Second one is very nice. It's $1300 more so for $10k I'm not sure if you can find something as good on WF.
