Should I buy the Blue Nile Voucher?

My apologies if I have posted this in the wrong section. I do not post here very often - the last time I used this site was about 5 years ago when I was buying my engagement ring and I used this forum extensively.

Now, I would like to buy my wife a nice pair of diamond earrings. My budget is less than $1000 and preferably less than $500.

Blue Nile has a $200 for $100 voucher and I basically bought it but then chickened out and decided I should ask you guys first - do you think they are just marking their prices up by $100 to break even? Are they even a good place to buy from?

Please let me know what I should do, lol. I trust you guys

I would try Googling for Blue Nile promo code and see if you can find one that's a better deal than $100 off. I've found some 10% off promo codes to use, which on my upcoming e-ring purchase is a better deal than the voucher. However, if you're staying under $1000, then the voucher is probably a better deal. I saw the voucher myself this morning and checked the terms to see if it can be combined with other promo codes, It cannot be combined, so I decided to pass.

I think you should identify the earrings you really want before considering a voucher. What styles were you considering? With metals and diamodn prices being high, there isn't a lot with decent quality under $500, although I have had my eye on these:

May I ask where you found a 10%off code for e-ring? I used to get one, but for setting only, not loose diamond.
