I bought a wedding band and engagement online. PT900 is engraved vs. stamped. I find this practice to be rather unusual. Is this a sign that the bands were made offshore (somewhere other than the US) or is it a sign of shoddy workmanship?
Nah. That’s a sign that whoever made it didn’t have a ‘PT900’ stamp. There’s actually quite a selection of stamps that get used in a shop and high quality ones are a little on the expensive side. Some just engrave it rather than spring for the cost of the tools.
It may very well have been made overseas and it may be shoddy workmanship but this isn''t evidence of either of those things.
