a PS recommended vendor who does not drop ship told me the following re a stone posted on their website. We don''t have the stone in house, but we can bring it in to be checked for a customer w/a cc# and with no obligation to purchase. The stone was listed on the website as being an ACA (that probably tells you the vendor) but I dont see how they can put it on as an ACA w/out having it in their house stock? Nor do they have the IS, ASET or the SARIN report. They did have a copy of the GIA report. What do the experts think? Is this common and totally legit or not? Thanks!

Ah, it''s probably nothing. Just a paperwork thing. I''m sure if you''re interested they''ll get all the info together for you.

I agree, not likely anything to worry about.

They have a credible reputation and won''t charge your card until you''re ready to purchase. I''m not sure exactly how they work but they have an expert on staff that will evaluate it and give you their thoughts on it. Maybe they don''t do the images on site and it''s a new diamond that is being photographed now... or in the queue to be done. Just a guess... I really don''t know. They''re pleasant to work with though so call them to discuss it if you''re interested in it.

Thritto the good gentlemen above.

Thanks to all three of you for your comments - I shall forge ahead...and am still looking! Cant seem to get over the WF ACA Princess cuts however...maybe its because I am a novice and am trusting these are really really good diamonds based on my research thus far. I still would look at others but would need more expert opinions so, you''ll be hearing from me again. Thanks so much!
