Hi,

Yesterday I treated myself to a day of shopping, and since I only ever buy jewellery, this was unusual for me! But I bought a number of items to help de-stress after the last month (that's my excuse, anyway!) and I am so pleased with them that I wanted to show them off. My mother is far away so PS will have to do! She loves to admire the spoils of shopping trips, and husbands aren't quite the same in that department!

I love the Tiffany infinity design and I have it in gold. However, I realised I was going to scratch up the gold ring by wearing it too much, so yesterday I bought the silver one for $150!

I do not collect crystal, but about a year ago I saw a thick, weighty crystal oyster with a pearl inside that I thought was stunning. Yesterday I grabbed it, $200.

I had a gift voucher from Sephora left over from my last birthday 11 months ago, so I treated myself to some CoCo Mademoiselle perfume.

And lastly, a very interesting book about Agatha Christie's round-the-world tour, told in excerpts from her diary and lots of her trip photos.

Pix below, and also pix of a dragonfly that alighted on my balcony this morning. I tried to sneak round to the side and get more images but it flew off. We are many floors up so I couldn't go round to see it from the best view, but I got some shots of the sunlight on its wings. Dragonfly first:

And finally, group shot of the spoils! (Can you tell I don't go shopping very much?!)

Nothing like shopping therapy to calm the waters, is there, Smith? Great fun! Love the oyster & pearl, the Christie book looks really interesting -- and that is one big daddy dragonfly! Glad you had a day to just collect stuff.

Smith, your pics are lovely and nice choices! Thanks for sharing. I always enjoy living vicariously through others' shopping excursions here!

Thanks JewelFreak and Monarch! I'm just so happy and relieved that my stress is over for now and I feel so carefree, compared to the last month, that I went merrily shopping and then realised I didn't really have anyone to show my purchases to! The oyster is really weighty. I hold it when I watch TV, I'm so pleased with it!
