Shopping for a setting

Any thoughts on bezel set rings? I''m thinking of something a little modern, with the bezel in a high polish white metal and the shank in a satin finish yellow gold. I need it to stand on its own without another band, but not be too massive for a .80 diamond.

I also like the X-prongs but am not sure it would be enough on its own. I would probably put a satin finish on it as well.

I''ve never seen a bezel x-prong.

I did wonder about a semi-bezel that forms a V instead of the usual squarish shape.

Wow, Julie, that''s interesting! It would be very unique, probably fine on its own, and definitely not massive. I''ll have to see that one in person or in someone''s actual pictures. It''s something I would definitely put on the possibles list.
