Hi

Here's the story

My partner and I live in China and was wondering if anybody on pricescope has had experience purchasing an E-ring and getting it shipped here (or somewhere else outside of N.A.) without too much hassle.
I'm not sure which reputable companies ship out our way....
If you can offer any help that'd be wonderful

Thanks.

Hi, I've had Leibish ship a FCD to Hong Kong for the tax free shelter that it is... They had a small receiving office/individual to represent them in HK as well.

I've checked and a number of jewellers do in fact ship to Hong Kong. I'm not sure how far that is physically to you in China (big place), but that would be an easy solution as Hong Kong is a massive jewelry market so a lot of places have experience shipping there and have the support in place be it to use an existing jeweler with a presence in HK or whatnot.

I would suggest asking the retailers you are interested in on their international shipping policies? And ask how it would be shipped to your doorstep, or to HK, and then you can evaluate the confidence level they have. Hong Kong has some wonderful cuisine as well :)

Thanks TristanC

HK is a little bit of a distance but nothing a flight can't fix.
We'll take a look at that option.

Thanks

I live in China as well (Dalian) and there's no way I'd have a diamond shipped here. The last ring I had made sat at whiteflash for about 3 months until I got out to the USA. I've had far less valuable things not show up and there's just no way to find them. Do you speak chinese? That could help - but they also have a lot of tariffs and taxes that depending on the size of your stone might cost more than a flight to america. OR what about a friend? If you are an expat you must know someone making a trip back in the relatively near future?

MsPeachy,

China specifically prohibits the importation of diamonds into the country. I know because we had a customer attempt to use a third-party shipping company to bring in a diamond she bought from us and it was stopped and rejected at customs. Hong Kong, however, is no problem.

All the best,
