Shipping to Canada from US

I need to ship a ring from California to the ring''s manufacturer in Calgary for resizing. Any suggestions on the most secure way (USPS, FedEx, UPS, or others?) to ship the ring?

There was a thread about this a short time ago. I believe most people said they trusted USPS the most. I think it was in diamond hangout. HTH.
