Hi, I'm hoping you can help me work out the best way to ship my diamond. I live in the uk and want to have my 1.2 solitaire reset into a 3 stone. I want to send it to New York as soon as possible so the setting can be done in time for me to pick it up on our trip out there at the end of April. I'm not sure how the customs works on this though. The ring is just going for a setting so technically there shouldn't be any tax to be paid on receipt of the ring in New York. How do I go about this?
Also, how do I insure the ring? Apparently ups or FedEx don't insure high value items such as this for international shipping. My household insurance will also not cover this.
